A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. ~Tenneva Jordan

This year marked my very first Mother's Day.  I was completely shocked when Kyle who is not a gift giver (neither am I) showed up with an Ipad 2 for me.  Wow. Best Mother's Day ever!!!  We spent the morning having breakfast with my mom and then went to dinner with Kyle's mom and sister.  It was a very special day shared with people we love.

Annabanana, Granna, Hoochie, Mom... she has lots of names but to me she is still Mommy.
I have always appreciated everything my mom has done for me and have always known that when it comes to moms she is exceptional. However, it wasn't until I had a child of my own that I realized how truly exceptional she really is.  Seriously, my mom is amazing - ask anyone who has ever met her. So Mom, I would like to say THANK YOU.  Thank you for... always being our room mom, never being in short supply of hugs and kisses, taking a thousand pictures of us a day, hosting our schools talents shows and painting yourself gold from head to toe, instilling a love for the Lord in our hearts, telling us you loved us and meaning it, being our taxi cab even when we were well out of college, teaching us to look at our glass half full, your infectious fun personality, always making sure we were proud of who we are and where we came from, being the "manager" of our sports teams, starting a middle school cheerleading squad that everyone could be a part of, teaching us to show compassion, taking care of my baby, taking care of me while I was taking care of my baby, taking care of everyone, for being you.

Six Months Old!!!

Peek-A-Boo
I See You!!!

What a joy 6 month old babies are!  Dallas can sit up on her own, feeds herself a bottle, loves to play peek-a-boo and laughs at everything her daddy does.  Every month Kyle says "Ok this IS my favorite age so far".
